Project Management 

I know how to build and lead the teams required to design and implement impactful projects. 

I lead complex projects that require adaptive design and careful stakeholder management, including:  

  • Capacity building projects to improve public sector management and governance

  • Research and application of new concepts in emerging areas including climate and environmental security, hybrid security, and trauma as a driver of insecurity

Strategic Advising and Consulting

Climate and Environmental Security

Climate change and widespread harm to the environment are making us less secure. My contributions to this rapidly growing field include:

  • Leading research on security sector roles in environmental security 

  • Exploring the impact of climate and environmental factors on rural and Indigenous women’s security

  • Designing new climate security courses for international military audiences

Security Sector Management & Governance

Security sector institutions (including the military and police) play a critical role in peace and security. How they're managed and governed is crucial—and so is their connection with local communities. I have over 15 years of experience supporting security sector leaders and institutions in:

  • Developing more transparent, accountable approaches to management

  • Planning for an uncertain future 

  • Aligning human and financial resources with strategic goals

Diplomacy and Negotiations 

How we reach agreements is often as important as the agreements themselves. Today’s interconnected challenges, from the climate crisis to shrinking civic space, demand more creative and inclusive negotiation approaches. 

I bring lessons learned from years of experience in multilateral and bilateral negotiations and facilitation to empower organizations with valuable negotiating and communication skills.

Regenerative approaches to leadership and management 

In a period of accelerating change and widespread depletion of resources, traditional approaches to management are no longer adequate. Thriving ecosystems in nature offer key lessons for reversing ecological and societal harm, and for developing organic and agile approaches to organizational management.

I offer workshops to help organizations explore and apply regenerative principles to (re)define their unique value and scale the impact they want to achieve.
