Regenerative Governance

Governance is in need of an upgrade. Across many contexts, democracy is in decline. Public confidence in government continues to decrease against a backdrop of accelerating climate change and global political and economic systems which are still highly extractive. There is clearly a need to think about how to reimagine governance in a way that can not only tackle but also transcend the multiple and interrelated crises we face today. Regenerative approaches in sectors including agriculture, finance and development have produced promising results, and deserve a more central place in governance and government.

I partner with experts in ecology, natural resource management, food systems, and local and global governance – and bring my own decades of experience working on public sector reform - to offer alternative frameworks for organizational goal setting and decision making.

Our approach is drawn from decades of practical experience in local, national, and global governance and management. These interactive sessions introduce key principles of regenerative approaches, provide examples and case studies of these principles in practice, and invite organizations to identify concrete entry points to bring regenerative approaches into their own work.

Our aim is to give participants a new framework for planning and decision-making that responds to the complex, interlocking crises we face today and leads to new opportunities to improve organizational outcomes and partnerships.
